The NVTL is the only professional association in the Netherlands that represents the interests of landscape architects.

The NVTL provides solicited and unsolicited advice to government on legislation affecting the practice of landscape architecture. For example, the Association is actively involved in the implementation of the revised Architects’ Title Act through a set of regulations and programme of professional experience drawn up by the Architects Registry Office (Bureau Architectenregister).

In addition, the chair of the NVTL maintains close contacts with the Government Advisor on Landscape, ensuring that the professional community has a voice at national government level.

At the international level the interests of our members are represented via IFLA Europe, which maintains an active lobby in the European Union and the Council of Europe.
