Welcome & Introduction (1 PM)
A brief overview of the workshop, the venue, and the pollination program.
An interactive quiz to gauge participants’ knowledge about bees.
– Expert Presentations
Our guests (Utrecht Natuurlijk – Astrid van den Broek /EIS – Linde Slikboer/ Bee artist – Tim Joye /Designer – Matthijs Hollanders) will start the event with presentations and we will delve into the essentials of creating optimal bee habitats through a concise presentation.
– Guided Walk
A tour of the city farm and the @Bee Embassy, reflecting on the process and results achieved. We are thrilled to have Tim Jooye, the curator of the Bee Embassy, lead this segment.
– Design Exercise
Under the guidance of Matthijs Hollanders, a landscape architect at de Urbanisten and guest lecturer in urban ecology at TU Delft, participants will engage in a hands-on design exercise. In groups, we will conceptualize the ultimate bee landscape, followed by short pitches and expert feedback.
– Closing & Networking
The day will wrap up around 5 PM with a networking borrel at a location in Utrecht to be confirmed.
