Your Job

We are looking for a lecturer in landscape architecture. We specifically look for a colleague with expertise in design of urban and rural landscapes that include large components of water. You are able to contribute to teaching design studios and lecture courses in the BSc and MSc programs in Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning.

You have personal competences important for this position: a passion for education and research, high ambition, creativity and a communicative and collaborative personality.

In addition, you have:

  • preferably have a PhD in Landscape Architecture or a related field;
  • an MSc degree in Landscape Architecture;
  • experience in studio teaching;
  • experience with water-landscape design;
  • solid knowledge of landscape systems (soil, water, flora and fauna);
  • good communicative and writing skills;
  • willingness to contribute to general tasks and activities of the group;
  • an excellent command of English (C1) and preferably Dutch, or a willingness to learn Dutch within two years.

Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive gross salary of between €3.345 and €5.278 for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 10).

We are embedded in a larger cluster called Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning that consists of a diverse and dynamic team with Full professors (3), Associate professors (2), Assistant professors (15), Lecturers (15), Postdocs (2) and PhD/EngD/junior researchers (24).
