For almost 35 years, the Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival has been a testing ground for contemporary garden and landscape design creations on an international scale. The festival encourages new ideas and acts as a breeding ground for talent, breathing new life into the art of gardening by presenting new flourishes, new materials, ideas and innovative approaches that appeal to the general public and professionals alike.

The diversity, creativity and sheer quality of the projects have created a worldwide reputation for the festival, which has become an unmissable event for a new generation of landscapers to present their work. The Chaumont-sur-Loire Domain welcomes more than 550,000 visitors each year and receives extensive national and international press coverage. The current festival “Once Upon a Time, in the Garden” is worth visiting, and will be open until 2 November 2025.

Making a Scene? The Garden on Camera

Within this theme for the 2026 festival, international designers are invited to create innovative and imaginative garden designs that explore the dialogue between landscape and storytelling, cinema and nature. Design a unique garden within a 210 m² plot on the prestigious estate, Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire.
