After the success of 2024, SFA is also organising the event on sustainable employability for everyone in the architecture sector in 2025. An inspiring programme from 14:00 to 21:00 including dinner, featuring sharp debate, practical workshops and encounters that will take you further in your work or business. Discuss how AI is changing the architecture industry and what that means for you.
After a brief introduction by SFA director Marianne Berenschot and an explanation of the venue, mountaineer Katja Staartjes will take the stage. In her lecture, she will share her experiences on the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest, and connect them to themes such as cooperation, dealing with uncertainty, resilience and pushing boundaries. Her story is the prelude to a panel discussion with different perspectives on work and development in architecture.
In the two subsequent workshop rounds, six topics can be chosen:
- Behind the Scenes of AI – Amy Sterrenberg (TU Delft): explanation of AI logic without programming yourself and exploration of AI within the design process.
- Happy and healthy at work, now and in the future – Maartje Jansen Wolff (Happy Office): tools for work happiness and vitality within organisations.
- Tasks of the future: what is your match with tomorrow? – Luc Dorenbosch (The Job Engineers): analyses and tools to make work meaningful and future-proof.
- Attention management – increase your focus in distracting times – Melissa Schouman: strategies and behavioural tools for better concentration.
- Impact of AI on work; focus and method – Wouter van der Torre (TNO): research on how AI affects tasks, skills and autonomy, including estimation techniques.
- Artificial Intelligence and the soft values of architecture – Bart Mispelblom Beyer (TANGRAM): reflecting on AI’s role in human values in design, such as well-being, beauty and community spirit.
