Registration for the NRP Gulden Feniks is open until March 15th 2026. The NRP Gulden Feniks is the national award for renovation and transformation of the built environment. The award is not limited to submissions by architects at the scale of a single building. Renovations or transformations of landscapes, parks, public spaces, residential areas, business districts, or infrastructure works such as roads or bridges are also eligible. This also applies to projects that largely consist of reused (building) components or materials.

The Gulden Feniks is an integrated award. In its assessment, the jury considers the quality of the realised project, its functionality and programme, as well as the relationship between the project and its surroundings and the broader societal context in which it has been (re)developed. Attention is paid to architecture, use of materials, and sustainability. The jury also considers historical value and the approach to heritage, as well as the roles and collaboration between the parties involved.
