Dear Grass readers,

For the winter season, we have been reading an inspiring book with our book club GrassReads: Lo-TEK | Design by Radical Indigenisms, by Julia Watson. In an era of high-tech and climate extremes, we are drowning in information while starving for wisdom. Enter Lo—TEK, a design movement building on indigenous philosophy and vernacular infrastructure to generate sustainable, resilient, nature-based technology. With a foreword by anthropologist Wade Davis and spanning 20 countries from Peru to the Philippines, Tanzania to Iran, this book explores millennia-old human ingenuity on how to live in symbiosis with nature.

The book discussion has been planned on the 8th of april between 19:00 and 21:00 at the office of De Urbanisten in Rotterdam. We still have 2 months left until the discussion, so enough time if you would like to read along!
