The EFL Foundation is celebrating its 50th anniversary on 9 April 2026. With you! Our friends, grant recipients, (former) directors and other stakeholders who are active in the fields of urban development, planning and landscape architecture. You are invited to an inspiring day programme, good conversation and drinks in Utrecht.

Day programme: 10 x 10 – Get started yourself!

What are the urgent tasks for the next 50 years? 10 challengers ask 10 urgent questions. 10 diverse teams of designers, scientists and policymakers will search for answers. With the help of design and imagination. You could be one of the people working with others during this day. It promises to be fun, inspiring and substantively challenging. Register quickly, because there are only 100 places available.

The challengers are: Hilde Blank, Roelof Bleeker, Catja Edens, Maarten Hajer, Zef Hemel, Maurits de Hoog, Samira Ibrahim, Caroline Newton, Michelle Provoost and Mare de Wit.

Reception with lecture by Tessa Cramer

The doors will open to the general public at 4.30 p.m. Together, we will reap the rewards of the day. Wouter Veldhuis (chairman of EFL) will give a hopeful speech and Tessa Cramer will provide further insight with an inspiring look at the future. Afterwards, there will be time to chat, meet up and continue the conversation.
