GARDEN AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
A garden architect or landscape architect has completed a master’s degree in landscape architecture at a university, followed by a two-year period of professional experience. Or completed the master’s degree at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam.
Title protection of the Architects Register
The Academic Titles (Architects) Act (WAT) regulates a system of title protection by the establishment of a Register of Architects. The title protection system means that only persons who are registered in the Architects Register as architect, urban designer, garden and landscape architect or interior architect may use the relevant title.
GARDEN AND LANDSCAPE DESIGNER
In most cases, a garden designer has completed a bachelor programme in garden and landscape design or spatial design (Van HAll/Larenstein, HAS Den Bosch and HKU Utrecht). Garden designers focus on garden projects and planting plans on a small to large scale for private individuals.
