SMLA is een kleine ontwerpstudio met grote dromen en ambities. Onze passie is het creëren van prachtige buitenruimtes waar mensen van kunnen genieten. We hebben kantoren in zowel Londen als Utrecht en zijn betrokken bij het ontwerpen van particuliere tuinprojecten in Groot-Brittannië, Italië en Nederland. Voor onze ontwerpen hebben wij diverse prijzen gewonnen.
Functieomschrijving:
Wij zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste, vakbekwame professional met een passie voor planten en design om ons team in Utrecht te versterken. Als technisch ontwerper bij SMLA werk je aan projecten van uiteenlopende omvang en complexiteit, zowel in Nederland als in het buitenland. Je bent betrokken bij alle fasen van het project, van concept tot oplevering.
Kwalificaties:
minimaal een diploma Landschapsarchitectuur of een direct vergelijkbare kwalificatie; met 2 tot 3 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare positie.
Vaardigheden en eigenschappen:
- geweldige presentatievaardigheden;
- gedegen kennis van de principes van constructiedetails, materiaalgebruik en offertes;
- ervaring met het berekenen van projectkosten en het beheren van bouwplaatsen;
- vermogen om zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband te werken;
- uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden, zowel in het Nederlands als in het Engels;
- autorijbewijs (categorie B)
- computervaardigheden met AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, bij voorkeur op macOS besturingssysteem.

SMLA is a small design studio with big dreams and ambitions. Our passion is creating beautiful outdoor spaces for people to enjoy. We have offices in both London and Utrecht and are involved in designing private garden projects in Great Britain, Italy and the Netherlands.
Position description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled professional with a passion for plants and design to strengthen our team in Utrecht. As a technical designer at SMLA you work on projects of varying scale and complexity, both in the Netherlands and abroad. You will be involved in all phases of project work, from concept to completion.
Qualifications:
At least a degree in Landscape Architecture or a directly comparable qualification.
Skills and Traits:
- Great presentation skills
- Sound knowledge of the principles of construction details, use of materials and quotations.
- Experience in projects costing and managing construction sites
- Ability to work independently as well as part of team
- Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
- Driving licence category B
- Computer skills with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, preferably on macOS operating system.
